Stack Racks

Sometimes called portable rack, tier rack, or nestable rack, this racking system is used in manufacturing, warehousing, shipping, cold storage, carpet warehouses, railcar racking, tire storage and many more applications. A stack rack has a metal, pallet-style base with either uprights or an upright frame assembly. When the stack rack uprights are separate, they can generally be removed from the base and placed horizontally, which creates a compact storage method when the racks are empty or are being shipped.

Some stack racks do not have removable posts or uprights, but instead, have a frame that allows compatible racks to be stacked in a staggered configuration. This is a space and shipping cost savings approach, because many racks can be nested within each other which decreases use of vertical storage space. Stack rack decking can include open frame, plywood, steel and wire mesh/expanded metal. Stack racks can be configured to handle many items and can be used in conjunction with bulk bags, other bulk storage options and also work well to hold pipes or other long or varying length items.
